McMurtry Speirling is a small track-focused electric hypercar, which has over 1000 BHP and weighs around 998 kg. The car comes with a 60 kWh battery offering 300 miles (483 km) of range in normal driving modes or 25 minutes of operation at track speeds.
Earlier this year, the Speirling created a new record at the Goodwood Hillclimb with a time of 39.08 seconds, beating the previous record by more than 2 seconds. Now, the electric hypercar seems to have created another record. The McMurtry Speirling is recently said to have sprinted from 0 - 100 km/h in 1.4 seconds while completing a quarter-mile run in 7.97 seconds, which the company claims is a new acceleration record for street-legal cars.
In comparison, the Rimac Nevera recently clocked a 1/4 mile time of 8.5 seconds, while the Pininfarina Battista created a new record for the fastest acceleration time, sprinting from 0 - 100 km/h in 1.79 seconds
