Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe launched at Rs. 2.07 crore

The GLE 63 S Coupe takes on the Audi RS Q8 and the Lamborghini Urus.

Mercedes-Benz has launched its AMG GLE 63 S Coupe performance SUV in India. It is priced at Rs. 2.07 crore (ex-showroom).

The Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe is positioned above the GLE 53, which was already on sale in India. It is powered by a 4.0-litre, turbocharged V8 that puts out 603 BHP @ 6,500 rpm and 850 Nm @ 2,500-4,500 rpm. The engine comes with a 48V EQ Boost hybrid system that provides a boost of 21 BHP and 250 Nm when required. It is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, which enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 280 km/h.

The GLE 63 S Coupe features the Panamericana grille at the front that helps differentiate it from the regular GLE Coupe. Other exterior highlights include quad exhaust tips, 22-inch light-alloy wheels and a sports body kit. On the inside, the SUV comes with Nappa leather seats, a sporty AMG steering wheel, carbon fibre trim, a dual-screen setup with the MBUX infotainment system, among other features.

The GLE 63 S Coupe comes loaded with safety systems including Blind Spot Assist, Active Brake Assist, ESP, dynamic handling control system and AMG electronic rear-axle limited-slip differential. It also gets Active Ride Control with Active Roll Stabilisation and AMG cylinder management.
