Mercedes-AMG GT S to be launched on November 24, 2015

Mercedes-Benz has announced that it will launch the Mercedes-AMG GT S in India on November 24, 2015.

The GT S is Mercedes-AMG's flagship sports car. It has a long bonnet, sharply raked windscreen and a sweeping roofline. It has a grille has a single horizontal slat with a star in the middle, large air intakes at the front, LED headlamps with DRLs, a pair of slim tail lamps and side air vents.

The GT S comes with 9 x 19 inch alloys at the front shod with 265/35 R 19 section tyres and 11 x 20 inch alloys at the rear shod with 295/30 R 20 section tyres. It has a double wishbone suspension at the front and a multi-link suspension at the rear.

Powering the GT S is a 3,982 cc, V8 bi-turbo engine that produces 503 BHP and 650 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 7-speed, dual clutch automatic transmission.

The Mercedes-AMG GT S is equipped with features such as electro-mechanical steering, a rear axle locking differential. Assistance systems and safety features from the S-Class sedan have been carried over as well.
