Mercedes-Benz S-Class CKD launch in October; details revealed

The CKD S-Class is expected to lose a few features from the CBU model.

Rumours suggest that Mercedes-Benz could launch the CKD version of the W223 S-Class in October 2021.

Changes to the CKD over the CBU S-Class W223

The CKD S-Class is expected to lose the following features from the CBU model:

  • 20-inch alloy wheels - These will be replaced by. 19-inch alloys
  • Rear-axle steering
  • Front seat massaging function. The seats will get seat kinetics
  • Burmester 4D sound system - Will be replaced by a 3D Burmester sound system
  • S450d 4MATIC - The CKD W223 will instead get a RWD S350d variant. The S450 4MATIC is likely to be continued

Prices for the CKD variants are expected to begin at around 1.7 crores (ex-showroom).
