Mercedes-Benz V-Class launched at Rs. 68.40 lakh

Mercedes-Benz has launched the V-Class in India. The premium MPV is available in two variants - Expression and Exclusive priced at Rs. 68.40 lakh and Rs. 81.90 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. It will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU).

The V-Class comes in two body styles. The Long Wheelbase model has an overall length of 5,140 mm and a wheelbase of 3,200 mm and the Extra Long Wheelbase version has an overall length of 5,370 mm and a wheelbase of 3,430 mm.

The V-Class has a traditional Mercedes-Benz grille with twin chrome slats flanked by large sweptback LED headlamps. It has roof rails and vertical tail lamp clusters. The Expression variant comes with 7 seats and rides on 16-inch alloy wheels. It has comfort suspension, multi-function steering wheel and a reversing camera. The Exclusive variant is available in a 6-seat configuration. It comes with 17-inch alloy wheels and gets features like Table package, leather seats, ambient lighting and electric sliding doors. It also gets suspension with a selective damping system, leather wrapped steering wheel and a 360-degree camera with park assist. Both variants get 2-zone automatic climate control with rear AC vents, infotainment system with touchpad and handwriting recognition.

The Mercedes-Benz V-Class is powered by a 2.1-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 161 BHP @ 3,800 rpm and 380 Nm of torque @ 1,400-2,400 rpm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. Standard safety features offered on the V-Class include 6 airbags and Attention Assist.

The V-Class is available in four colour options - Obsidian Black Metallic, Cavensite Blue Metallic, Mountain Crystal White Metallic and Brilliant Silver Metallic.
