MG Astor fuel efficiency as per internal document

As expected, the MG Astor 1.3L turbo-petrol is the least frugal of the three powertrain options that are available.

The MG Astor is packed with a decent bit of kit for its price. But, one question that will be on every customer's mind is, "kitna deti hai?"

Well, according to an internal document, the Astor delivers 9-15 km/l, depending on the variant.

The MG Astor is available with two engines and three transmission options. These include a 1.5-litre petrol engine, which is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The claimed fuel efficiency of the manual version is 14-15 km/l, while that of the CVT version is 10-12 km/l.

The Astor is also available with a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine that is mated to a 6-speed slushbox. It is the least frugal of the three and is said to return just 9-12 km/l.

The document highlights the fact that these mileage figures are based on internal testing in various conditions. Real-world fuel efficiency will vary depending on traffic conditions and driving behaviour.
