An automatic variant of the upcoming Ford Aspire facelift has been spotted. According to a media report, production of the car has begun and the company is preparing to ship the car to dealers.

The new Figo Aspire will come with a mesh grille similar to the Freestyle and a chrome frame. The sub-4 metre car will come with new front bumper which has circular fog lamps and the headlights have a smoked effect. The rear of the car looks to be identical to the outgoing model. A new rear bumper with small tweaks is expected. The Titanium variant shown in the spy pictures has rear parking sensors and new design multi-spoke alloy wheels.

On the inside, the car will get dual-tone interiors, a 3-spoke multi-functional steering wheel and a new centre console equipped with an upright touchscreen infotainment system. The automatic variant has an engine start/stop button.

The facelift version is expected to be offered with the new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Dragon Series petrol engine which makes 94 BHP and 115 Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel unit is expected to be carried over unchanged.

It is rumoured that Ford will launch the Aspire facelift next month. Ford is yet to make a formal announcement regarding this.
