My 1994 Hero Honda CD100 gets fully restored after 3 lakh km

The fuel efficiency figures range between an impressive 64 - 79 km/l.

BHPian Bismaya recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

My CD100 in its 2022 avatar. Notice the clear lens HF Dawn headlamp which replaced the previous Pulsar Classic setup. Also, the complete front end is now from the HF Dawn (same forks as Splendor). Did a complete engine overhaul in 2021 December and I expect the engine to perform another 80-90K km without any issues. I have overhauled the factory carb using a repair kit and have been getting a steady average of 71 km/l. The lowest I've got is 64 km/l and the best is 79 km/l. Have been unable to get the motorcycle repainted owing to personal time constraints.

In an age of BSVI and Fi, the same fill-it, shut-it and forget-it formula of the CD100 still stands the test of time and has proven to be the most sturdy motorcycle that Hero Honda ever built. A lot of parts are still from factories, especially the mudguards which have been under constant care over the years.

Will be opting for a dual-tone Horn fitment soon and there are plans on adding aux lights to help with the night commutes as well. The street lights are now LED or white lights here and that screwed up most of the visibility here.
