Update on my Sierra restoration: Tinkering & paintwork begins

The car has been painted and I will be updating the other details very soon.

So updating the thread after 2 months, i will cover the remaining mechanical restoration and some paintwork details.

Removed the engine tappet cover to change the seal, we were surprised to see the shiny cams which looked absolutely new even after 1,36,000 kms.

After this we prepped and painted the engine bay area. Repositioned and covered most of the components, did not remove the whole engine as that would have been a huge task since there was no rusting.

Started the body prep, firstly we did the denting part and prepared the inside cabin and exteriors.

The interior thankfully rust free under the carpets and was prepared and first sprayed with a coating of Red Oxide

followed by final Paint (Kindly excuse the image quality and camera angles)

After this we finalised to finish the exterior after multiple layers of priming and sanding, here are a few pics of the final wash and loading the car while taking it to the paint booth.
