My subpar experience with Naara Kia, Bangalore

I had an issue of using extra force on closing the left rear door since the time of delivery.

BHPian Mainali recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

I had an issue of using extra force on closing the left rear door since the time of delivery. In first service when I mentioned this, I was told the door has not been opened much and with use it will be okay but, I was a fool to believe that. In second service I again mentioned the same issue, they told they will apply grease and it will smoothen out. Again nothing changed, I should have followed up but, I needed to travel to home town for few months and didn't get time.

Finally in the third service, I told I am not taking delivery unless this issue it fixed. At the time of delivery after the service I realised that they didn't even look at the issue. I had not expected such pathetic behaviour from Naara Kia JP Nagar. I clearly told I don't use the car so much so you can keep it as long as you want but I want it to be fixed.

Before I go into the details of what transpired after this, I just want to give a little background of what happened with the car when I left it in service centre. I have a front and rear dashcam installed which is hardwired, after checking the footage I realised that they began work on the car at 2:30. I had made advance reservation and dropped the car around 9 in the morning. I don't know in what order they work on the car. The only thing that they did was change engine oil(I explicitly asked for a video recording of the same) after putting the car on a hydraulic lift and draining the oil.

At the time of delivery, the car was not even ready, I received a message like an hour before that the car is ready for delivery. I took my own sweet time and when I reached it was full dusty. I had asked don't clean the car just air blow the dust. These guys used the wiper washer with the dust on windscreen, they did this with front windshield as well as rear. I could have done it myself, the reason I avoided doing that was not to put fine dust particle scratch on the windshield by operating the washer when it was covered in dust.
When I said I am not taking delivery, the service person who was assigned to the car became all sweaty and told the car has to be taken to body shop. I told lets go together, one more mistake I did here was allowed him to drive. The person didn't even know how to drive properly from first he was shifting to third thinking its second. Finally when we reached the body shop which is located at BTM second stage nearby shopper's stop, he almost scrapped another car while trying to put the car inside. Literally my heart skipped few beats that time.

The body shop guy understood the issue and used a rubber mallet to hammer the hinge and also pulled the door a bit to fix the issue. It got fixed at that point of time but by the time I reached home the problem was still there.

They have been calling for feedback and reviews, I told I will give feedback only after the issue is fixed. With this issue not getting resolved in a year when I looked closely I observed that the panel gap between front and rear door on left side is larger by a mm or two compared to right side.

I need help in what to ask them, from the looks of it they might have to remove the door and make adjustment and put it back again which is something I clearly want to avoid. I don't know what kinda work they will do and don't want to end up with rattling or any other noise coming from that door. Should I just live with it since the rear seat usage for me is like 3-4 times a year.

Also on a side note do we have a thread where the service centre are rated, I would definitely want to give another Kia service centre a shot if they are better than this one. If we have a thread like that based on city, please point me to that I will give it a read. I am kinda soft and don't press hard on the lower rank employees, because I think they are just trying to make a living in this difficult time, yes I agree that they should do their job better to move up the ladder but we all know there is no ladder to move up for most of them, they will switch around to another manufacturer with experience and continue the same I don't care attitude.
