The upcoming electric SUV will be positioned between the entry-level Niro EV and the flagship EV6.

Kia is reported to be working on a new electric SUV for its global product line-up. The SUV has been spotted testing in its home market for the first time.

According to a media report, the electric SUV is said to be based on the Seltos. The report suggests that the car will measure around 4.3 metres in length and will be positioned between the entry-level Niro EV and the flagship EV6.

The spy image shows the car with a completely camouflaged exterior. It reveals a rising window line, sporty rear profile and an overall upright stance.

While the specifications of the Kia Seltos-based electric SUV are still unknown, the model is expected to be underpinned by the brand's E-GMP platform.

Kia is also reportedly working on a much larger electric SUV, which is comparable in size comparable to the Telluride.

The Seltos-based electric SUV is expected to debut internationally sometime in 2022. The larger SUV, on the other hand, is expected to arrive sometime in 2023 - 2024. Kia is also said to have planned 4 other EVs, which will be introduced in 2026. These include a hatchback, sedan and a coupe.
