Pininfarina to showcase hypercar concept at Pebble Beach

Design house Pininfarina will showcase a design concept of its upcoming electric hypercar at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, which will be held between 22-26 August in California. Codenamed the PF0, the full-scale concept will be shown exclusively to prospective customers.

The design is said to be in its final stages and inspiration is claimed to have been taken from older Pininfarina cars like the Cisitalia, Modulo and the Sintesi. The body will be built using carbon fibre. The car is expected to have a claimed 0-100 km/h time of less than 2 seconds and a top speed greater than 400 km/h. Pininfarina is looking to provide a range of more than 480 km on a single charge.

The production version of the PF0 will make its debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, with production scheduled to begin in 2020. Only 150 units will be built and each model will be hand-crafted in Cambiano, Italy.
