Renault Kwid Climber spotted in India

The first spy images of the updated Renault Kwid Climber have surfaced online.

The new Kwid Climber is based on the facelift version of the hatchback that is due for launch later this year. The spy images suggest that car is likely to get orange exterior as well as interior accents similar to the outgoing model. It has a redesigned front fascia with large headlamp pods and black surrounds positioned on the front bumper and a wide grille with slim LED daytime running lights on either side. The car also has a dual-tone front bumper, roof rails and blacked-out B-pillars, while the side turn signals are positioned on the front fenders.

On the inside, the Kwid Climber gets a redesigned dashboard with chrome inserts and a 3-spoke steering wheel. It has orange accents on the door panels, centre console and seats. This particular test car is equipped with an automated manual transmission (AMT).

The updated Kwid Climber is expected to be powered by BS-VI compliant 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine. In its present configuration, the engine produces 67 BHP @ 5,500 rpm and 91 Nm @ 4,250 rpm.
