Rumour: 2017 Hyundai Xcent facelift to launch in April

The 2017 Hyundai Xcent facelift has been spotted testing a couple of times under mild camouflage. Media reports now suggest that the updated Xcent will likely be launched in India in April 2017. Hyundai hasn't revealed an official launch date yet.

Hyundai recently launched the Grand i10 facelift in India which gets some cosmetic tweaks, most of which are at the front. These include a larger, hexagonal grille, boomerang-shaped fog lamp housings and LED DRLs. The Xcent facelift is expected to borrow all these updates from its hatchback sibling. Additionally, earlier spy shots have indicated that Hyundai has redesigned the tail light cluster of the new model as it now comes with larger wrap around units.

There will be an update in the powertrain department as well. While the 1.2-litre petrol engine will be carried forward without any changes, the 1.1-litre diesel will be dropped in favour of a new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder unit which recently made its debut in the 2017 Grand i10.
