According to a media report, BMW is likely to offer the 745Le plug-in hybrid variant of the 7-Series facelift in India. It is expected to be imported as a completely built unit (CBU).

The BMW 745Le measures 5,260 mm in length, 1,902 mm in width and 1,479 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 3,210 mm. The facelift version has a larger chrome grille at the front with twin-pod headlights on either side, new front and rear bumpers and L-shaped LED tail lights.

The 745Le will be offered with a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder petrol engine that produces 282 BHP @ 5,000-6,000 rpm and 450 Nm of torque @ 1,500-3,500 rpm. The electric motor adds another 111 BHP and 265 Nm of torque. It is powered by a 12 kWh battery pack. The 745Le has an electric-only range of 55 km and can reach a top speed of 140 km/h on electric power only.

The 745Le comes with a rear-wheel steering system. BMW might also offer the 745Le xDrive all-wheel-drive version in India.
