Rumour: Royal Enfield proposes permanent Work From Home

According to a document, Royal Enfield has proposed permanent work from home for its front end and regional teams, which include regional managers. The work from home model is claimed to save a considerable amount of time daily.

Royal Enfield plans to surrender regional offices in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Jharkhand and Mumbai immediately. The company has begun the process of negotiating the terms for an early exit in other locations, where the lock-in period is more than 1 year. Company stores, service centres and training centres will be used for review meetings and delivery of official documents and parcels. Monthly review meetings will be held at cowork spaces with a conference room or in a hotel.

Regional employees have been provided with laptops and data cards. The company is working on a solution to address the printing requirements. Touch-free attendance and attendance based on an App or facial recognition are being considered.
