Rumour: Volvo S60 Polestar India launch in early 2017

Volvo will reportedly be launching the S60 Polestar in India in the early months of 2017. This launch will mark the debut of the Polestar brand in the country, which is the Swedish automaker's performance division. The S60 Polestar has already been imported into India for certification purpose.

The S60 Polestar is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged and supercharged engine that develops 362 BHP and 470 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox which sends power to all four wheels. The company claims that the S60 Polestar can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and hit an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.

The car also gets a stiffer suspension setup, a larger air intake, and a higher-capacity fuel pump. Volvo has also managed to cut the weight of the S60 Polestar by 15 kg.
