The 3-seater XC90 Excellence has been spotted in India. Reports suggest that Volvo is gearing up to launch it in the Indian market. The luxury SUV is expected to be priced upwards of Rs. 1.31 crore (ex-showroom).
The exterior of the 3-seat version looks identical to the standard XC90 Excellence. However, it does not come with a front passenger seat. Instead, Volvo has installed a foot rest and retractable screen. The SUV also gets a retractable tray table, a fridge with glassware among other luxury features. The car also has a glass partition separating the passenger compartment from the luggage area.
The 3-seat XC90 Excellence will share the same hybrid powertrain as the standard XC90 Excellence that is currently on sale in India. It is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that is turbocharged and supercharged and is paired with an electric motor to produce a peak output of 401 BHP and 640 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
