An India-spec unit of the Maruti Suzuki Ignis has been spotted without any camouflage. These are the first images of the India-spec Ignis in its undisguised avatar. Reports suggest that Maruti will be launching the car in India on January 13, 2016.

The spotted model appears to be a top-end variant. The images show various design cues of the India-spec model, which include projector headlamps, U-shaped LED DRLs, a chrome-lined front grille, black body cladding and blacked-out alloy wheels. Interestingly, the car appears to get a glossy black finish on the ORVMs and the roof. The ORVMs are mounted on the doors and also house integrated turn indicators.

The Ignis will be retailed through Maruti's NEXA dealership chain. It will be offered in four variants: Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. Powertrain options include a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre diesel, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. An automatic variant will also be on offer.
