Second-gen Maruti Dzire Tour launched at Rs. 5.24 lakh

Maruti Suzuki has silently launched the new-generation Dzire Tour sedan in India. It is basically a stripped down version of the current-gen Dzire that will be sold exclusively to the fleet and taxi operators. The automaker will be launching the third-gen Dzire in India next month, which will be sold to private car buyers.

The new Dzire Tour is available in a single variant, with two engine options - a petrol and a diesel. The petrol model has been priced at Rs. 5.24 lakh, while the diesel variant costs Rs. 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The bare-basic version of the Dzire gets a black plastic grille, silver coloured steel wheels, black ORVMs and door handles and body coloured A and B pillars. There are three colour options on offer - white, silver and black. The interiors continue to have a dual tone black and beige layout with a few faux wood inserts. Features on offer include an MID screen in the instrument cluster and power windows.

The Dzire Tour can be opted with two engine options - a 1.3-litre, four-cylinder DDiS diesel and a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder VVT petrol. Both these engines are available only with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
