We enjoyed a short ride around the outskirts yesterday.
Motorcycle is riding beautifully. Although modern machines may not need a lot of attention on running-in, we tried not to run at constant RPM and vary them across the bands, across the gears we could use.
If I can ignore the metallic noise that seems to be typical of KTMs/this bike, it's been very good experience.
The punch in the middle is very good and it picks up the high speeds so beautifully, at times, I didn't even realize how easily it made it to triple digits and ready to go even beyond.
I have been hearing that it's very good to ride above 5.5k-6k RPMs, but I haven't got a chance easily while we were riding some backcountry routes and also switching the bike between me and my son.
