Skoda has introduced an Anytime Warranty scheme for vehicles that are more than 4 years old. It allows customers to extend the warranty of their cars by 1 year / 20,000 kms for a total coverage of up to 8 years / 1,50,000 kms.
According to the company, customers can purchase the warranty package before the vehicle completes 2,252 days of age, provided the mileage is less than 1,30,000 km.
The cost of the warranty coverage for 1 year / 20,000 kms for a Skoda Rapid starts from Rs. 13,999. Prices for the Octavia and Superb start from Rs. 45,999 and Rs. 55,999, respectively. Kodiaq customers can purchase the warranty package for Rs. 57,999 or Rs. 64,999, depending on the age of their vehicle, while Yeti owners can extend the warranty coverage by paying a sum of Rs. 50,999.
Skoda Anytime Warranty does not cover the cost of consumables and wear and tear components like wiper blades, brake pads, brake discs, belts, bulbs, fuses, clutch disc, pressure plate, shock absorbers, struts, etc. The warranty does not apply to spark plugs, lubricants, fluids, or refrigerants as long as their replacement is not an integral part of the warranty with respect to the relevant part. Premature failure of the toothed belt is covered until 1.20 lakh km only.
The warranty does not cover failure due to misuse, lack of maintenance, alteration, accident or environmental causes like fire, floods, bad weather, etc.
