Skoda India's line-up reshuffled

Skoda India website now lists only 4 models - the BS6 Rapid, Octavia RS 245, facelifted Superb and the Karoq. The regular Octavia and the Kodiaq have been removed.

The Rapid Monte Carlo which was a variant of the Rapid is no longer listed as well. Skoda has started accepting online bookings for the listed cars and deliveries for the Octavia RS 245 have commenced.

The BS6 Rapid will come with a 108 BHP, 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, while the Superb is offered only with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine rated at 187 BHP. The Karoq is offered with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol, while the limited edition Octavia RS 245 gets a 2.0-litre BS6 engine that puts out 242 BHP.

The discontinued cars were all equipped with BS4 powertrains and that could be the reason for removing them from the company's website. The fourth-generation Octavia's launch has been postponed to 2021.
