Tata Altroz XE+ variant launched; XM discontinued

The Altroz XE+ variant has been positioned between the base XE and XM+ trims.

Tata Motors has made some changes to the Altroz variant line-up. The XM variant has been replaced with a new XE+ trim.

The new XE+ variant has been positioned above the base XE trim. It comes equipped with features such as a Bluetooth Audio system, fast USB charger, keyless entry, manually adjustable ORVMs, headlamps with follow me home and find me functions and electric temperature control.

Compared to the XM variant, the new trim misses out on a rear parcel shelf and wheel caps. Having said that, the XM+ variant gets a pair of rear speakers as well.

The Altroz is available with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 85 BHP and 113 Nm as well as a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel unit that puts out 89 BHP and 200 Nm. Both engines come paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The hatchback is also offered a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol motor that makes 108 BHP and 140 Nm.

Tata Altroz ex-showroom prices:

  • XE+ Petrol - Rs. 6.35 lakh
  • XE+ Diesel - Rs. 7.55 lakh
