Tata Gravitas SUV to be unveiled on January 26, 2021

The Gravitas is a 7-seat version of the Harrier and will compete with the MG Hector Plus.

Tata Motors is set to unveil the production-spec Gravitas on January 26, 2021.

The Gravitas is based on the OMEGA platform, which is derived from Land Rover's D8 architecture. It is the 7-seat version of the Harrier.

Except for a few changes, the design of the Gravitas looks similar to the Harrier. It has a similar front fascia but the coupe-like rear has been replaced with a more upright section to accommodate a third row of seats. The SUV will be offered with optional captain seats in the second row.

The dashboard of the car is also similar to the Harrier and features a floating touchscreen infotainment head-unit and a semi-digital instrument cluster.

The Gravitas could be offered with a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine producing 170 BHP and 350 Nm of torque. The engine could be mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
