Tata Motors trademarks 'Azura' nametag

The Tata Curvv is likely to be offered in both ICE and pure-electric versions.

Tata Motors has registered a new trademark for the 'Azura' nametag. It has been speculated that the production version of the Curvv concept could use this name.

The Tata Curvv is a coupe-SUV that was showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo. It is likely to be offered in both ICE and pure-electric versions and is rumoured to compete with models like the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Grand Vitara.

The Curvv features contemporary styling with sharp lines and good proportions. It has the familiar Tata front fascia with a split headlamp setup. The car has flared wheel arches and a sloping roof line. On the inside, the Curvv gets a three-layer dashboard with multiple screens.

The production-spec Curvv might get Tata's new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. Reports suggest that Tata might also offer the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit from the Nexon, albeit in a higher state of tune.

The electric version of the Curvv SUV will be based on Tata’s Gen 2 EV architecture.
