MG Excelor EV name trademarked in India

MG Motor India is set to announce its future plans on March 20.

MG Motor India could be planning a third EV for India. The carmaker has recently filed a trademark for the ‘Excelor EV’ nametag, which could be used on an upcoming electric car.

MG plans to launch two models this year, one of which will be an EV, while the other is said to be the facelift Gloster. Details of the Excelor EV, though, are still unknown.

MG showcased several models from its global line-up at the 2023 Auto Expo. The carmaker had presented the eMG6 hybrid sedan, eHS SUV, eRX5 SUV, and the Marvel R. One of these could be rebranded as the Excelor EV in India.

Meanwhile, MG Motor India is set to announce its future plans on March 20. Perhaps we will learn more about the Excelor EV as well.
