Tata Tiago AMT launched at Rs. 5.39 lakh

Tata Motors has announced the launch of the Tiago AMT at a price of Rs. 5.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The AMT gearbox will only be available in the XZA petrol variant and has thus been introduced at a premium of around Rs. 40,000 as compared to the corresponding manual trim.

The Tiago AMT is currently only being offered with the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engine that produces 84 BHP and 114 Nm of torque. The AMT gearbox on offer with the Tiago petrol includes four gear positions - Automatic, Neutral, Manual and Reverse. It also comes with a creep function that enables the car to crawl forward as soon as the brake pedal is released. The Tiago AMT further comes with 2 driving modes - Sport and City.

The Tiago AMT will directly be competing against the Maruti Celerio AMT, which is priced in the range of Rs. 4.52 lakh to Rs. 5.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
