Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the JTP version of the Tiago hatchback sometime around Diwali. Tata has reportedly asked dealers to place orders for the demo cars, which suggests that the car could be launched soon.

Developed in collaboration with Coimbatore-based Jayem Auto, the Tiago JTP is a sporty version of the standard hatchback. It is expected to get new front and rear bumpers, vented bonnet, alloy wheels, smoked headlamps and twin exhaust. On the inside, the JTP version could get black interiors with a 5.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, aluminium pedals and a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel.

The Tiago JTP is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 108 BHP and 150 Nm of torque. The engine is likely to be paired with a revised 5-speed manual gearbox.
