Maruti is gearing up to launch the third-gen Swift at the upcoming Auto Expo, while the pre-bookings have already commenced. The first cars have now started arriving at dealerships.

The latest images show the cars being unloaded at a dealer stockyard. Out of the six cars featured in the image, the one in Midnight Blue exterior colour is the Z+ variant while the rest are of lower trim levels. The top-spec Z+ variant gets projector lamps with LED DRLs and dual-tone alloy wheels that set it apart from the rest. Inside, the Z+ variant comes equipped with automatic climate control, multi-functional steering wheel, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink connectivity and navigation.

Powertrain options on the new Swift include a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre diesel engine. The 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol unit makes 82 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and a torque of 113 Nm @ 4,200 rpm. The diesel produces 74 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm @ 2,000 rpm.

The third-generation Swift is offered in 12 variants with the option of a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT).
