Toyota Etios Cross launched; prices start from Rs. 5.76 lakh

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the Etios Cross in India at prices starting from Rs. 5.76 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Etios Cross is essentially a Liva hatchback with some cosmetic enhancements to make it appear more rugged. It has a redesigned grille, new front bumper, with a guard and fog lamps with integrated turn indicators, ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, plastic cladding on the wheel arches, doors and hatch, new rear bumper, rear defogger and wiper and a pair of roof rails. The car rides on diamond cut alloy wheels shod with 185/60 R15 tubeless tyres.

Toyota is offering the Etios Cross in eight colours - orange, blue, black, red, grey, white, silver and black.

On the inside, the Etios Cross gets piano black interiors and a 2 DIN audio system with Bluetooth, USB and Aux-in compatibility and a remote control. The car has a leather-wrapped steering with mounted audio controls. The car sports black seats with white stitching and Etios Cross badging. The driver seat is height-adjustable. Safety features include ABS with EBD and airbags for the driver and front passenger.

The Etios Cross is available with a choice of three engines - two petrol and one diesel.

Petrol:

• 1496 cc, 4-cylinder, DOHC, 90 PS @ 5600 rpm, 132 Nm @ 3000 rpm, 5-speed manual
• 1197 cc, 4-cylinder, DOHC, 80 PS @ 5600 rpm, 104 Nm @ 3100 rpm, 5-speed manual

Diesel:

• 1364 cc, 4-cylinder, D-4D, 68 PS @ 3800 rpm, 170 Nm @ 1800-2400 rpm, 5-speed manual

• G - 1.2L petrol, priced at Rs. 5,76,000 (ex-showroom Delhi)
• V - 1.5L petrol, priced at Rs. 7,35,000 (ex-showroom Delhi)
• GD - 1.4L diesel, priced at Rs. 6,96,432 (ex-showroom Delhi)
• VD - 1.4L diesel, priced at Rs. 7,40,640 (ex-showroom Delhi)
