Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition launched at Rs. 6.80 lakh

Toyota has launched a special edition model of the Etios Cross. The Etios Cross X-Edition comes with styling updates as well as new features and is priced at Rs. 6.80 lakh and Rs. 8.22 lakh (ex-showroom Kolkata) for the petrol and diesel versions respectively.

The Etios Cross X-Edition comes in a new shade of Quartz Brown. Unlike the standard car, the plastic body-cladding along the sides and around the wheel arches has been painted in body colour. That said, a new black grille adorns the front along with black fog lamp bezels. It also gets X-Edition badges on the C-pillar. While the petrol variant gets body coloured door handles, the diesel version gets some chrome on it.

Inside, the X-Edition gets faux carbon fiber trim on the dashboard and black and grey seat fabric, 6.8-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth and voice recognition, reversing camera, passenger and driver side airbags, front seat belt with pre-tensioner and force limiter and ABS with EBD. The diesel variant additionally gets chrome accented AC vents, a chrome accented gear knob and a leather wrapped steering wheel with silver accents and steering mounted audio controls. Other features include electrically retractable ORVMs, keyless entry, driver seat belt warning and ISOFIX.

The Etios Cross X-Edition is offered with the same petrol and diesel engines as the standard car. The 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine produces 79 BHP @ 5,600 rpm and 104 Nm of torque @ 3,100 rpm. The 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine makes 67 BHP @ 3,800 rpm and peak torque of 170 Nm @ 1,800-2,400 rpm. Both the engines are paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
