TVS Dazz step-thru spotted in India

The TVS Dazz step-thru was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. It is currently being sold in Indonesia, however it was never launched in the Indian market. New spy images of the Dazz being tested in Hosur, Tamil Nadu have surfaced online leading to rumours of the Dazz being offered in India in the near future.

The TVS Dazz measures 1,875 mm in overall length and its width and height is 675 mm and 1,050 mm respectively. The scooter weighs 92 kg and has fuel tank capacity of 5.3 litres.

The Dazz comes in dual-tone body colours with large sweptback turn signals placed on the front cowl. It has a fairly flat seat and a small storage compartment equipped with a USB charger behind the front cowl. The Dazz is offered with telescopic front suspension and a single rear shock absorber.

It is powered by a 109.65cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The carburetted version produces 8.34 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and 8.3 Nm of torque @ 5,500 rpm, while the fuel-injected version makes 8.6 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and peak torque of 8.7 Nm @ 5,500 rpm. Braking is handled by a 200 mm front disc and a 130 mm drum brake in the rear. The Dazz rides on 14-inch alloy wheels shod with 80/90 section front and 90/80 section rear tires.
