According to a media report, UM Motorcycles is likely to end its alliance with Lohia Auto. An official announcement regarding the same is expected to be made in the coming weeks.

It has been reported that the alliance was jeopardized as both companies failed to take corrective measures to improve their business in India. Sales have been on a decline since last year. The company sold around 500 units in June 2018 and almost nil in May 2019.

Reports suggest that UM plans to relaunch its products under a new brand called UM+ in September 2019. The company is likely to focus on BS-VI compliance, improving its dealer support program and spare parts supply. UM is also planning to expand its dealer network.
