The XC40 Recharge uses a 78 kWh battery pack that is said to offer 418 km of range on a single charge.

Volvo India has listed the XC40 Recharge on its official website with a price tag of Rs 75 lakh (ex-showroom).

Bookings for the XC40 Recharge opened almost a year ago, following the announcement by Volvo that the electric SUV would be making its way into India.

The XC40 Recharge uses a 78 kWh battery pack that powers two electric motors. The combined output is 402 BHP and 660 Nm. Volvo claims that the car does 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, while its top speed is limited to 180 km/h. The SUV can cover 418 km on a single charge.

In terms of its design, the XC40 Recharge looks similar to its ICE counterpart. It has the same body shell, except that a plastic panel covers the front grille.

Inside, the SUV gets a 12-inch digital instrument cluster and a vertically oriented touchscreen infotainment system. The EV also gets a host of safety features including a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, cross-traffic alert and lane-keep assist; among others.
