Yamaha Fazer FI V2.0 images, details surface

A couple of months ago an updated version of the Yamaha Fazer motorcycle had been spotted being ridden on the roads. We had speculated that this would be the fuel-injected version of the bike which would follow the FZ FI and FZ-S Version 2.0. Now images of the bike have been leaked as well.

The Fazer gets a revised half-fairing with restyled twin headlamps and new body decals. The fairing gels well with the other body parts of the bike, which seem to be borrowed from the FZ Version 2.0. The bike will be available in three colours - red dawn, white cloud, and black hawk.

The Fazer Version 2.0 uses the same engine as the FZ FI and FZ-S Version 2.0, which is a 149 cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected unit with Yamaha's Blue Core technology. It develops 12.9 bhp @ 8000 rpm and 12.8 Nm of torque @ 6000 rpm and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Stopping power comes from a disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear.

The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 100/80 R17 and 140/60 R17 tyres at the front and rear respectively. Suspension duties are taken care of by a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The bike has a 12-litre fuel tank and an estimated kerb weight of 138 kg.

The Fazer V2.0 is expected to be launched by the end of this month.
