TechArt delivers India's first 992 GTstreet R supercar

The TechArt GTstreet R can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and has a top speed in excess of 350 km/h.

Specialist Porsche tuner TechArt has delivered its first 992 GTstreet R in India.

TechArt's latest GTstreet R is based on the 992-generation Porsche 911 Turbo S. It is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-6 with modified turbochargers and a remapped ECU. The result is 789 BHP and 950 Nm. The engine is paired with an 8-speed PDK and an all-wheel drive system.

TechArt claims the 992 GTstreet R can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and has a top speed in excess of 350 km/h.

The first of the latest-gen GTstreet Rs to be delivered in India is finished in a shade of green called Python Green. The car is fitted with a custom body kit made from forged carbon. It also gets a forged carbon bonnet, louvres on the front fenders and unique wheels.

Besides the sporty body kit and performance upgrades, TechArt has also made changes to the chassis. The GTstreet R features wider front and rear tracks and a new sports suspension with variable ride height. Other modifications include an active rear spoiler, a custom exhaust and sports steering.

Porsche 911 Turbo S (992) priced at Rs. 3.08 crore

Porsche has started accepting bookings for the new 911 Turbo S (992). The supercar is priced at Rs. 3.08 crore (ex-showroom).

The new 911 Turbo S is wider than its predecessor. It features a revised front bumper with LED strips and circular LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights. At the rear, the car gets an active spoiler and scoops on the fenders that are a characteristic design feature of the Turbo models.

Powering the new 911 Turbo S is a 3.8-litre, 6-cylinder, twin-turbocharged engine that produces 641 BHP @ 6,750 rpm and 800 Nm @ 2,500-4,000 rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.

Porsche claims the new 911 Turbo S can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.7 seconds. 0-200 km/h comes up in 8.9 seconds and the car can do a top speed of 330 km/h.
