Indian FTR 1200 recalled in India over cooling system issue

Indian FTR 1200 range of bikes from the model year 2019, 2020 and 2022 are said to be affected by this issue.

Indian Motorcycles has announced a recall for its FTR range of bikes in India over a liquid-cooling system issue.

According to the company, hot coolant from the liquid-cooling system could leak onto the rear tyre. This can lead to reduced grip. The hot coolant can also cause severe burns if it comes in contact with the rider.

Indian FTR 1200 range of bikes from the model year 2019, 2020 and 2022 are said to be affected by this issue, which has prompted the company to issue a global recall.

Indian Motorcycles will notify customers of the affected units in India to get the issue sorted at their nearest authorized dealership.
