A new spy image of the Renault Kiger has surfaced online. It partially reveals the rear fascia of the upcoming sub-4 meter SUV.
The Kiger gets 3D tail lamp clusters, which is quite unconventional for this segment. The dual-tone rear bumper has L-shaped reflector strips on either side. The image also reveals the car's blacked-out roof panel and silver roof rails.
Earlier, spy images had partially revealed the Kiger's front fascia as well. The car gets a V-shaped grille with slim LED daytime running lights on either side and triple-pod headlamps placed lower down on the front bumper.
The Kiger will be based on the CMF-A+ platform. The same platform underpins the upcoming Nissan Magnite crossover, which can also be seen parked next to the Kiger in the second image. It could be powered by a 1.0-litre turbocharged engine paired to a manual or an AMT.

As per the spy image, the Kiger is likely to get all-black interiors with a floating touchscreen infotainment head-unit. It has a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel similar to the Triber and a digital instrument cluster. This particular test car seems to be the automatic variant and also appears to have automatic climate control as well as an engine start / stop button.

It is rumoured that Renault might postpone the launch of the Kiger sub-4 meter SUV. It could now be launched in 2021.
Earlier reports indicated that Renault was planning to launch the Kiger in July 2020. However, the launch could now be pushed to next year due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the generally negative market sentiment.
The Kiger is expected to be based on the CMF-A+ platform. Spy images suggest that the car could borrow design cues from the updated Kwid. It could get a twin-slat grille with slim triangular lights and tri-pod headlamps positioned lower down on the front bumper.
