Palio 1.6 sport - shocked - need help

Hi,
My Palio sport 1.6 met with an accident this sunday (26th) - on it's first month birthday. The car was hit by a speeding wagon R from behind.. resulting in a broken bumper, a dented tail gate and a dented heart. Honeymoon period with my car had come to an abrupt end.. but thought the marriage wud last long (still hope so). But a rude shock from Concorde motors has left me completly disillusioned. I left the car for repair y'day (27th) and was told that it would take a max of i week to replace the parts. But a call from the service centre today simply shot up the delivery date by another week.. so now it's 15 days to get the bumber and tail gate replaced.
I always believed that spares and service wont be an issue with Tata Motors in the fray.. but 2 weeks for a part replacement.. man this is like going back to Sundaram days.
Guys please help..with any contacts at Tata Motors, Fiat India etc. which can help me get my car faster.

I still love my Palio.. what a car!

Niranjan, just mail: service@fiat.com and mangesh.kodalkar@fiat.com with the details of Spares you need and follow-up with them until the Spares are delivered to Concorde Motors.

Niranjan
Niranjan, Sorry to hear about the accident. As Finney suggested, you can try reaching FIAT on those email IDs. You can be assured of a quick response, and follow up. Spare availability at the dealer level is still an issue, but unlike before, i believe spare availability at the factory is no longer an issue. If its a part that can be air-couriered, you can expect delivery within a week - but if its something that cannot use the air route, then 2 weeks sounds reasonable (i had a similar fate recently, where one part was shipped via air-courier quickly, and the next was sent using the land route and took longer)

In fact, Mangesh even provides you the courier tracking number, if you ever want to call the logistics provider and check on status. One more thing, unlike in the past - there is absolutely no BS by the dealer - Things seem to have become a lot more transparent, with quick, prompt follow up from the factory itself...

Sorry sight that!

Was surprised to read that this bump required a front door replacement!

Wouldnt it be enough to open up the door from inside and straightening the metal/painting the whole door?

agree with sid, bottle - I'm kinda surprised that the A.S.S recommended a door replacement (or did you ask for it, given that insurance would cover most of the expense, and you didn't want extensive tinkering and repaint on a new car?)

yes initially had given it to be tinkered only but after a week concorde called and said that the beams (guessing side impact beams) had also collapsed and door needs to be replaced.. impact wasnt too hard so didnt expect damange to be that extensive.. no damage to glass or locks

Bottle, let me guess... you are claiming insurance, right? Thats why they insist on replacing the door. Tell them you dont plan on claiming insurance, and you see they dont suggest the same solution.

Between, sad to see the car damaged.

Bottle, i was saying tell them you are not claiming from insurance, and you want to pay from yur own pocket for the repairs. In that case, they would suggest not replacing the door.
