Pricing -

Ex showroom: 431952

Insurance: 15956 - (Won't be taking this from them as my father himself is in national insurance & it's free for him )

Registration Delhi Number: 24,500 (it's only 8000 for Haryana - but the good thing for me is that this will also be paid by my father's company. )

T. No: 650

Total = 473058 (on road)

Discounts: 13000 dealer's + 4000 = Rs. 17000/- cash discount.

So effective on road price = 456058

Plus the guy (named pawan) have promised me to give mud flaps & foot mats and yes also the leather steering & gear cover.

My car should be delivered by around end of this week. And for the test drive from dhingra motors. I had it twice. First one was a very very short one because there was no fiat guy there. On the second test drive I took it for a little longer & actually drove at 125+ kmph.

.
Are you sure Registraton in Haryana also includes road tax? It looks too cheap. I paid Rs 52K in Bangalore to get my Vechile registered( including Road Tax of Rs 49K).

I went recently to tvm showroom. Will qoute their price for Palio 1.6. Road tax was around 17k (will check and tell, the paper is with father)

However, i have price for the baleno (just before it ran out of stock)

Price was 6,51,076/- for Baleno VXi and the road tax is 18,850/-

Yes registration in haryana it's cheap. It's only 1% whereas in Delhi it's 4%. It includes registration + road tax.

Guys,

After 3 test dives of the 1.6 i finally put money on the table and booked it from Dhingra Motors. The deal offered was also very sweet: dealer discount of Rs. 12500 + Extended Warranty + Rs. 10,000 exchange bonus. I am paying cash and not taking finance so the discounts could be more. They have also promised a leather wrapped steering but no gear knob. I guess i can live with that.

Guys,

Just bought a Palio 1.6 Stile from Dhingra Motors.
Surprisingly my spare is a steel wheel while the rest are alloys.
The dealer says that (unbelievably)only four alloys are provided...is this true ?
If so, Fiat's goin in for some MAAJOR cost cutting !!

Firstly, welcome to tbhp and congrats on your new purchase, look forward to the pictures and an initial report soon.

It is surprising to know that the spare wheel is not alloys while rest of them are. If thats how the company provides, it is taking cheap skatism to a different level . Other Palio 1.6 owners, please confirm.

My Oct03 registered Palio S10 also has steel wheel in spare. I think all Palios with alloys have steel spare wheel.

All cars have steel wheel for the spare tyre. Don't worry.

Congrats on your new car. Do post your expereince with the car alongwith pictures.

Abroad, all cars come with a spare tyre thats actually a size smaller then the 4 installed tyres. In fact, the Swift in India initially had the same arrangement. The company made a recall to 'rectify' this 'mistake'.
