I have installed Stebel Nautilus Compact horn in my SX4 in lieu of the horn provided by Maruti using the stock wiring. After around a week the fuse of 15A for the horn and Hazard lights had blown away.I replaced the fuse with a 15A fuse which has blown away today.Could you all please suggest as what should I do.

Stock wiring and fuse combo is a bad idea! head to the nearest accessory shop and fit an alternate upgraded wiring along with relays. This will save your fuse, switch, wires and costly electronics in your car.

you have done an absolute wrong fittment. do not remove the stock horns. make an alternate wiring (thick ones i think 4-6 core) with toggle switch, and a good indian made relay(not the chinese ones, or that comes with the horn) .
nautilus is an absolute stunning horn, and if u r in city where there are crap taxis screwing left and right this is the best to blow their ears off.

please do not attempt to do the wiring yourself. relays and toggle switch is totally different. For explanation on relays find the link below

Horn Installation on Valkyries

toggle switch is a simple switch to toggle(shift) between stock horn and power horn. toggle switch is preferrably put on the dashboard on right side of the steering where there is provisions for extra switches.

Dont try to do all this yourself! Suggest you to go to a authorized service station.
I have Roots windtone super horn (used in Skoda cars) in my Alto and it was installed with proper wirings alongwith the toggle switch.

Which ROOTS horn?

I need to understand the difference / performance / durability etc of these 3 ROOTS horns.

1. ROOTS Vibramax
2. ROOTS Vibrasonic
3. ROOTS Megasonic

I recently saw all 3 when I went to buy one for my OHC as my Stebel Nautilus has conked off. Sadly, I could not hear them as the shop is a wholesaler and has no provision for demos.

Which one is the loudest and how does one compare them to the Hella Red Grill?

Hi ankit! Hella red grill is uncomaparable, hehe do i see some frowns? Kidding. Roots Vibrosonic is load and decent, Megasonic loudest and downright bada** Well, good for highways, you can buy them as you have the provision of repair in roots which stebel doesnt have unfortunately

Cheerscheers:

The Skoda does NOT use roots horns, it has a Klaxton 'Made in France' horn, which looks similar to the windtones.
