What's the verdict on the new Image Dynamics amps? Are they up there with Audison and the likes? Or a notch below?

I have personally auditioned almost all the 2 channel 4 channel and the mono in sam_786 car (getz) and they sounded amazing. Last i heard a 4 channel and a mono hooked to rainbow profi (fronts active) and rainbow sub and i was like. One of the best amps money can buy. But they are pretty expensive in India.

Agree.
The DLS is the best of the lot.
Frank is using it for his components.

Bhagwan-ji,
Any particular reason you're calling Boston amps entry level? AFAIK, they're made in the same factory as the focals are and share the same components. Just that the output is less.

I'm thinking of picking up a Boston GT50 and your feedback will be much appreciated

Somebody once told me Infinity Reference Series amps were good. I did not see a mention of them in this thread. Are they any good?

Or maybe they are just not in the league of the amps we are discussing here. Any thoughts?

Exactly. When we are talking Audison VRx, Steg MasterStroke, Butler, Tru-Tech, DLS Ultimate, etc.. Infinity and Harman a just a few step behind.

DLS Ultimate series and Genesis DM are on par SQ-wise

Big step up is the DMA then P15 which use Class A (something DLS have tried to copy in their top amp)

Better than Genesis / DLS are Sinfoni (amplitude range better although it's their first /lowest range ) Then comes the Shadow Edition (SPX) and then the des etc which are silly money.

Brax and Sinfoni are similar within the corresponding ranges.

Don't get me wrong - every amplifier mentioned here is worth the money but they can't all be put into a 'super-class' or called 'Elite'.

DLS home audio is rumored to be very good and costing up to 200,000k UKGBP for amps and speakers they better be!
