Congrats !! Enjoy your D60 to its full, you got a great deal. For beginners photo shoot, there is no place in Bangalore.

Why dont you start with a sunrise in Pondy or a sunset in Mangalore ?

Not sure sir. Price from Babas.
Bit OT, seems Babas sell atleast 5-6 5D every month here!

I'm almost decided to pick up the Canon 1000D but while searching on the net, found some camera's available on ebay.in with 18-55mm IS lens. So is the 18-55 IS lens a option on 1000D?

for the most part, the 1000D is sold with the kit lens which is 18-55mm unless you specifically ask for just the body. in that case, the 18-55 lens can be called option.
14000rpm is online now

This has been addressed multiple times in the same thread. The Indian version of the 1000D kit comes only with the non-IS kit. It is the dealer who buys back the non-IS lens and exchanges it with an IS lens. You'll have to check with your particular dealer whether he is willing for this or not.

Nikon 3000D - Distributor Price

Guys,

What was the latest D-3000 pricing you have from your trusted shops?

I got this from a bangalore based Distributor... let me know if I can put up the whole email and contact details?

Nikon Camera DSLR-D-3000

M.R.P - 25,450.00

Selling Price - 23,490.00

---------------------------

Why buy a 1000D for 22,500Rs when you can get a D3000 (with IS/VR) for 1K more??
