Freebies thrown in - reverse parking sensors and sun films.

Congrats that is a good price, so which dealer have you booked the car at?

re: Honda City price : Another 70,000 rupee discount

I'm kind of surprised at Honda's strategy - slashing prices for apparently no reason other than to be competitive might not be the way to go here. I feel this sends a negative message to City owners who procured their cars at what would now seem to be a premium. Will Honda re-imburse the people who already got their cars before the price slash?

Also, today, once people test drive the Linea T-Jet (Petrol), it is evident that the City is a less stacked car (in comparison, and apologies to City owners), and yet priced far better than the City.

re: Honda City price : Another 70,000 rupee discount

I just called up HONDA in Agra and asked them what the OTR price of the Base E Model comes to.

He calls me back and says ex showroom + insurance I have to pay. The RTO charges 55k or so will be waived off.

So OTR price for Base Honda City Metalic after discounts comes to 7.79 Lacs !! I think he will gladly negotiate for another 10 - 20k.

This is seriously tempting. I do not think we need to replace our Accent BUT if I had spare dough right nowI would have grabbed this offer.

Re: Honda City price : Another 70,000 rupee discount

Great season to grab a fantastic car! Even if it is going to be replaced by a new one, I think this is a fantastic buy at all the discounts thrown in.

Tried convincing my dad to get our old OHC replaced with a new one , but he is not ready; especially after the Jazz fiasco from Honda !!

I guess petrol Price pressure, new model news out in the market and the verna, vento onslaught has made them do this.

I booked it at Magnum Honda, kanakpura road. I believe usual strategy from the salesperson is to start with 9.5 lakhs( that was what i got from Dakshin Honda-Lavelle Road) and depending on your nego skills they will get the price down further down.

I got 9.2 since I threatened to cancel the Jazz booking( 50K) paid in Aug.

Re: Honda City price : Another 70,000 rupee discount

A friend of mine has managed a deal of 8.25 on road with parking sensors and mats in Delhi for the S version and there is a chance he might get about 5-10K more. No extended warranty or RSA though as he wasnt interested in them.
So if any tbhpians are in negotiations with dealers, hope this helps.

Was sooo tempted to get the car from Delhi or Doon which would be even lesser thanks to lower road tax but decided against it. :(

Tried calling one of the honda showrooms in mumbai, but I think they are shut today.
Facelifted version comes with the following features:

1) Front Chrome grille
2) Front and Rear Bumpers get a facelift
3) Slight change in tail lamps

No changes to the engine or interiors.

Thanks kiran, any info on the pricing of the facelifted version?

Edit: Just called Dakshin Honda and was told that the facelifted version will have bluetooth controls + ACC + sunroof (in "V" I guess).

They are tight lipped about the pricing, but they say it will definitely be higher!

They are tight lipped. But I have a strong feeling that they may be placed at the price that was running before this latest 70K discount offer came up.

10-12 range would be too much. May be 7.5-9.5 would be ideal keeping its competitors in mind. Moreover, new version of the ANHC will be out sometime mid 2012. So, it all depends on how the facelift version does from now on.

Thanks for this update. But whats the idea of releasing facelifted version now if the new version is coming in december '11? This doesn't seem to fit in somehow.

My dealer said it would be coming only in mid 2012 and that for now only the facelift version will be out this month-end or early Nov.

Not sure, if facelifted version is coming in mid-2012, why have a clearance sale now?
