2008 New Honda City

Does anyone have any information of the New Honda City Launch
in India. I heard Thailand launch in June 2008. There were inspiration
pics of it in The source of Auto news,spyshots,rumor,Auto show news — AUTOinCAR 2 months back. Does any1 have any
spy pics of it?

I Heard informations inside of All new Honda City 2px codename better than today model so much
- A pillar looks like current CIVIC
- Headlamp looks like ODYSSEY+AIRWaVE+CIVIC 3 doors
-Rear pillar looke like current CIVIC
-Dashboard looke better Jazz

it looks good and will storm the indian market as it did before also.. sx4 and company...beware.

If its going to look the way its inspired, then the SX4 better watch out. However SX4 has a chink in its armour, the 1.9L DDIS engine, yes the 1.9 and not the 1.3

@BUSA, I think globally the SX4 comes with a 1.6 DDIS engine. Also a fiat product with 100+ bhp and probably a very fun amount of torque
EDIT: it has both a 1.6 and a 1.9 diesel listed on wikipedia

Honda does have a 2.2 i-CTDi Diesel engine in UK for the new CIVIC. Do we see a variant coming in India?

I should think not. The Jazz has an MPV-ish stance. The new City will hopefully have a better integrated boot.

There is news that New Honda City will be priced a lil higher
cos the Jazz on road price for base version wont be less than 6 lacs on road.
Lets hope Honda doesnt hike the price much. Suprised that New Honda City
official pics havent been unveiled as Honda is gonna launch it worldwide in few months.

If the new City is going to be inspired by this design, then it's going to be a 'CHARTBUSTER'.
The tail looks similar to that of the Supra.

How is the more powerful DDIS engine a chink in the SX4s armour? I would think its an advantage over the petrol Honda City.
