I'd say, TATAs beat all and sundry in the advertisement area..

The following are my favorite ones..

1. The Indica Ad, where the guy gets a punch eveytime he opens his mouth.

2. The old sierra ad, "It takes the rough with the smooth".

3. The Indigo Marina Ad, "We like to carry our world with us".

4. I haven't seen the Safari DICOR Ad, but my friends say that the ad carries punch..

5. Also i liked the old Safari Ad, where a beautiful girl was stranded on an Island and a guy drives in his Safari to offer him a lift..

6. The skoda mushy-mushy ad is also cool.. The photography here is very good.. And the angle at which the girl kisses the car is awesome..

Cheers,

tata has surely been very creative as far as their adverstisements are concerned.
but i surely didnt like the Marina advert with the whole We Carry our world with us...

one more commercial to remember was the tavera ad, with the little girl and her teddy bear....really cute!

For me the Safari Dicor ad is awesome. The first time you wonder what the hell is the advertisment all about untill you see the SUV.

The adverts for all TATA cars have been really great(The Indigo Marina, Indica more dreams per car)- something that cannot be said of their cars though.

Tata ads i think totally rock the show in this area.
both the sierra ads were awesome , but i prerfer the one with the punchline "its not owned, its possessed".
even the sumo 3.0 litre ad carrying a truck load around the hills was well made.
the indica ad with the guy dreaming away was kinda sweet.

the chevrolet brand ad was astounding and the optra's slogan"for a celebration called life" was beautiful.

havent't watched the much spoken about ocatavia ad but the concept surely sounds great as well.

Most Tata ads are really good. The one which showed the crying baby (who stopped crying in the car) was good too. So were most of the Safari and Sierra ads. The only moderately creative ad was for the Marina. In the Maruti ads, the little kid who keeps running his toy 800 over everything ("petrol khatam hi nahin hota") one was really good too. Never liked those Shahrukh ads.

I just saw the Safari DICOR ad for the first time. I absolutely loved it. Especially the Safari doing a lurid powerslide in the sand. The sand makes a lot of cars look more powerful than they are.

Ad-men on the forum, who handles the TATA account? Do the guys who do print ads are the ones responsible for the TV ads too?

forgot to menton earlier, no car ad has been worse than the hyundai getz s ad.

and the "maruti families are the happiest families" ad was kinda good too, mainly because of the peppy music.
