Enjoyed every moment of the meet. I remember reading it somewhere that time flies when you are with like-minded people (experienced it today), the breathtaking view of Pawna dam and ambience of the dhaba was a backdrop to the endless conversations, to pen down few - food, drinks, travel, work, real estate, sports, kids and obviously cars . There were many instances when the entire group were in discussion together and everyone participated actively.
Enjoyed making new friends today - perfect way to spend a Sunday.

Will surely catch up at the mini-meets

Hi swapszone & all,

Seems you all have a good time yesterday . I am sorry that I missed to join yesterday's meet. Tried my best, but somehow missed due to series of events. My return flight from Delhi on Saturday night got delayed and finally I landed in Pune around midnight, so an early morning start to catch up with Pune guys was ruled out. Thought to catch you all at Sunny’s or around Lonavla and started from Pune around 11:45 with Kids (wife stayed back) and reached Lonavla around 12:30. Being new in Pune, I have never been to Sunny and started my google map for direction to Sunny’s, NH4. Google Map took me to Khopoli at some small time “Sunny Dhaba” . Got a lesson never to trust Google Map blindly and keep minimum idea on the location.

Called a friend, who gave me the exact location of Sunny. Reached Sunny’s around 1:30 and waited for the team. Kids were hungry and had lunch at Sunny’s. Meanwhile, had SMS exchanges with swapszone and understand Team was at Kinara Village Dhaba. Finished lunch and wanted to go to Kinara, but kids wanted to return home. Yesterday was quite unfortunate for me. Tried hard, but still missed to catch you all. Anyway, better luck next time.

Indeed it was a great meet. I got a chance to interact with many BHPians in person, and gained a good knowledge on supercars which was discussed thoroughly Looking forward for a next meet now.
BTW, can someone please post the snap of cars with respective BHPians, captured at Kinara parking?

Yesterdays meet was a great learning for me. And it was first meet where my family Truely enjoyed. First time my wife thanked me for the fun she had at a meet.

18th Jan 2015, MH Mega Meet: A Sunday well spent !!

For a newbie in Pune, I am glad to have made a friend circle full of automobile fanatics. Add to that the warm Team-BHP family. What happens when 30 like-minded automobile fanatics assemble at one place and pour their hearts out?

The result is mayhem. Pure unadulterated automobile discussions.

Turbochargers, alloy wheels, carbonfibre lippings, remaps, cameras, real estate, sparkling brown Honda's, food, stickers, motorcycles and the mighty supercars. How well can you spend a quite sunday morning next to the scintillating Pawna Dam !!

I must confess I am a late riser, I get up early for office every weekday including saturdays and I get up really early for my sunday morning motorcycle rides. Apart from it, I am quite a late riser. So on a sunday morning if I get up wide-eyed at 5:30 AM, it means I am hitting the highways.

So when I got a call from safaroy in the middle of the night, I almost exclaimed "Dayyum my alarm dint work" only to realize later that it was 5:20 AM. By 6:30 AM I was all set for the Mega Meet. Soon, the Pune BHPians grouped up at the Shell petrol bunk next to Indira College and by 7:30 AM we left. The brawny Triumph's zoomed past and we could see fellow BHPian Ricci smiling under the lid of his Daytona breezing past on an empty stretch of tarmac. We exchanged thumbs-ups.

By 9:00 AM the Pune BHPians were at the banks of the Pawna Dam. Soon the gang from Mumbai joined in.

Nice Pics //M. Thanks. I am sure everyone loved the Breakfast venue. Its just too good. I missed this one but am sure not sitting out the next one. Comparatively, there were lesser cars than last year when we had gone. But i guess that'll mean you guys had an easy time interacting with each other as there were lesser people.

This was my first Team-BHP meet and we enjoyed it (my wife luckily being from automotive electronics domain). Excellent snaps and 599gto's "entry-level" ICE was out of the world for me. Consider it was a DIY job that he'd done! Now I am badly stuck gathering every penny that I can to get his help and get that setup in my Honda City.

Pune BHP'ians and maybe even Mumbai BHP'ans, my wife has just told me that there's a public event at ARAI called SIAT from 21st to 24th January. Its a showcase of all automotive technologies. Pune members are planning to meet up at Paud Road CCD and then move to ARAI this Saturday. Timings not yet decided. It would be great if someone could start up a thread and co-ordinate if many guys are interested in attending.

Thank You sir. I am no photographer, just do casual clicks but yes I love to click automobiles. Not much skills though. I just used a 18-55 throughout the meet.

Should have used the prime lens too, I believe.

It was really great meeting you all. I hope the enthusiasm stays put and we have more such Mega Meets, maybe once every quarter.
