@ Badboyscad/Headers,

Yeah these are real awesome ya. I was only looking for MT's and these were the best in the market. These tyres are not oly good for Mud/Slush and terrain but also good on tarmac. Best part is they are very well priced also.

Cheers !!!!!!!

randeep, that's some really good tyres you have got for yourself man. Enjoy them buddy. Now your jeep is ready to take on as much mud/slush as you can throw at it.

BTW, these going on alloys or stock rims?
and yes, how much dent in the pocket did these cost you dear?

I also got the new rubber for my Jeep. Have not got good Photos of the tyres now. Will post it when i have it. posting what i have now . These are Indonesian MT tyres from a company called FORCEUM. Dont know if you have heard about it. The tyres are good . Didnt feel much difference on the tarmac too.

Hi randeep,

excellent tyres. looks like quite aggresive. I do have a query for you. Can you please find out from your tyre supplier if the size 235/85/R16 is available in the same Maxxis Big Horn. I think the above size is an exact fit for army rims.

Thanks in advance

Wow! Isn't your Jeep SWB, how are going to turn a 275mm tyre without any power steering. Also, this tyre would give 11.14% speed error assuming the stock was 6x16. How are you compensating for this, any mods in the axle ratio?

@ Samurai,

Sorry I dont know what a SWB is, My Jeep is a MM550 and I am getting a power steering installed.

Speed I dont care as the Isuzu 2.4 Turbo is capable of 140-150 Kmph so if 12% less I actually dont mind. I am not doing any mods in the axles. Today Romi ji told me i'd have to raise the jeep a bit and also install 1" spacers so that my tyres to rub against the chassis. The rims I have bought also keep the tyre outward.

Samurai, I'm not a techie but just relying on my mamaji as he's got 30-35 yes experience in Jeeps. Will keep my fingers crossed that i dont have to get many mods done.

Cheers !!!!!!!

SWB is short wheel base like CJ3x. If it is MM550, then is it more like MediumWheelBase or MWB. I have difficulty turning a 235mm tyre without PS, I can't even imagine it with 275mm. So PS is a must.

I mean speedo error, if you are travelling at 67kmph, your speedometer will show only 60kmph. You'll have to keep that in mind.

I am not that technical either, but I know upsizing the tyres by more than 2% difference in OD has some side effects. I don't know exactly, experts can pitch in here.

query

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me what size is the wheel and tires on the attached picture?

If purchased is it a direct fit on an MM550, or are there some changes to be made to the vehicle?

Please respond..

Those are bridgestone dueller M/T 15 inch. Don't remember the exact size. That is Romi's yellow 550. It's a regular at NIOC OTR's. Other regulars to OTR here will be able to point out the exact size. They perform pretty well.
It is a direct fit. Though this jeep also has a suspension lift to compensate for the height loss I think.

Cheers

@Firoz,
As Vishwas said this is one of the many Jeeps Romiji has in his stable. The tyres are the Bridgestone Dueller M/T's 275/70/R15.
The suspension has been raised and now Romiji is also planning to put 1" spacers on the rims as the tyres were rubbing against the chassis.
I inquired about the tyres because I too have bought larger tyres 275/70/R16's and Romiji was very helpful to suggest changes that I need to make before I fit the tyres.

These tyres cannot be fitted on the stock Army MM550 rims. it will give a baloon effect if one does that.

Romiji please correct me if my statement is incorrect.

Cheers !!!!
