They are located in Veerasandra Industrial Estate on Hosur Road. On Hosur road driving towards Hosur, take your first left after Electronic City.

I am sure NONE of the Maruti or TATA dealership I visit perform this task - at least at the prelim level of spraying off the grime from the under chassis - let alone a full wash.
RNS Yeshwanthpur does this, wash the car first then work on it and finally goes for clean up mop and detailing before delivery. Unfortunately they have other attitude issues that i stopped going there.

The D-Day

I left Bangalore by train on Friday Morning and reached Chennai around 1500Hrs. I reached the garage and Siva caught up after work around 5ish. The plan was to leave on friday evening and reach bangy saturday morning.
But this was not to be.

The brakes were acting funny and had to work till late friday night and still no solution. I ended up crashing @ Siva's and after a super brkfast on Saturday morning we went to Chennai market for some shopping.

Around 3PM we reached the garage to pick up the jeep and ended up another long evening. The replaced fuel nozzle was leaking badly and after a hour we singled out a simple fuel tube and not the nozzle itself.

Seats were removed, checked, oiled, welded, etc etc and we were staring already at 9PM with a very very tired body.

At last the Jeep was READY..!!

The whole town was celebrating the CJ. The road outside the garage was painted RED for a grand welcome.

1990 M&M Cj340-welcome.jpg

Crashed again at Siva's and decided to leave early - Swear.

We left at 4AM - YAWN....

1990 M&M Cj340-image004.jpg

After a hour we ended up DEAD - Nearly. Some where outside Chennai City limit, I was on right lane, truck on Left. Some bus break down ahead and the truck tried to change lanes and I stomped. The Jeep totally went right side and nearly Kerbed up and Would SURELY have TOPPLED. Learnt a VALUABLE LESSON on Jeep Handling and managing the Steering constantly.

Day broke...

1990 M&M Cj340-image009.jpg

Me and Siva took a rural road and it was a challenge to wrestle the steering constantly.

Me and Siva had to meet a Doctor very urgently. Big Appointment.

To be Contd...

He he he your signature still says Weeks away from SWB... Liar.

Actually santhosh is in a fast track

I must say that under loads of pressure the mechanic was working to deliver the vehicle on Santhosh Arrival, however when I landed at garage I noticed few things still needs correction. I knew that Santhosh had appointments at Bangalore on Saturday, however what you call the teething and correction work after a massive overhaul of Break system, Clutch system, Suspension system, Steering system, Cooling system, Gear box, Differentials and Electrical really needs lots of testing.

The previous day to Santhosh Arrival I made a visit and noted some corrections to the mechanic and that was the work going on when Santhosh arrived at the Garage. It was pretty noisy in the garage as there was a temple festival outside and the speakers were polluting the neighborhood. We barely discussed anything and keep staring at the mechanic's work. Unfortunately, Santhosh had to wound up his lunch with Bakery rolls.

Since the newly installed break liners, cylinders and carrier plates in the front needed little bit of adjustments the work had extended to bit late in the evening. I was only absorbing Santhosh's tiredness in the eyes. Day long train travel and going back plan in the night that too first time jeeping, I was deliberate to delay his travel back to the next day. But mechanic came back reporting that he needs another day time to fix some other points that we/he noted.
The next day also works continued and by that time we went for a mini hardware shopping

As the evening again went late as fixing work dragged for a while, I suggested Santhosh to start the trip early in the morning and I will be accompanying him till the next city for my appointment with a Doctor. Two things here, one my appointment and second is to accompany Santhosh till he gets a feel of Jeep Driving

Over to Santhosh....

Doctor's Appointment

Well, the doctor's appointment was in Kanchipuram. Its about 80Kms from Chennai.

1990 M&M Cj340-image011.jpg

For you newbies, Kanchi and Doc are synonymous with the fames Dr.Jones and his Jeep 'Prowler'. We had to deliver a differential assembly.

1990 M&M Cj340-image015.jpg

His pets (sorry, is it a Lab?, I cant make out) were too cute.
1990 M&M Cj340-image013.jpg

After the delivery of the spares, me and Siva parted ways for this trip. He took a A/C bus to cool his bheja fry after a month of slogging it out.

1990 M&M Cj340-image024.jpg

After hitting the highway, I began to realize the Jeep, its ride and the thrills. Meanwhile, riding with the soft-top down was simply amazing. And the attention from passerbys was priceless.

All the time the eye was on the vital Stats of the Jeep. TEMP, PRESSURE, FUEL,VOLT.

Just before the 3rd Toll gate before bangy, I noticed the temp crossing 80-85-~90. STOPPED THE JEEP...!!!

Luckily, this was just at the Toll gate. I got down, let the hood cool, opened to see GREEN-ALIEN-BLOOD all over the engine bay....

To be Contd...
